Though Long Beach, California, doesn't have the same breadth of options as Los Angeles, the city is in the middle of a development boom, and prices are on the upswing. The town of New Hope, Pennsylvania—located in Bucks County—is one of the loveliest spots in the region, thanks to its expansive views of the Delaware River, and thriving arts and cultural scene. There's a lot of history here.
