Good Neighbor Policy
We believe in a more civilized online world where even lifelong lurkers can post fearlessly. On BrickUnderground, community members are invited to learn, ask questions, share information and offer advice. Our BrickTalk discussion area is moderated with the goal of maintaining a positive, problem-solving atmosphere. We encourage members to report bad manners, bad attitudes, and self-promotion. By participating in BrickTalk, you agree to abide by our Good Neighbor Policy:
Be civil
The purpose of these boards is to promote civil and constructive dialogue among community members. (Civil: “I disagree.” Uncivil: “You have no idea what you’re talking about.”) Any posts that we believe undermine this objective will be removed. Offenders may be permanently banned from posting and emailing on this site.
Don’t complain for the sake of complaining
You know how depressing it is to work in an office where everyone complains all the time, right? Ask for help. Offer help.
Don’t try to sell anything, including yourself
Please don’t write or email anything that could be construed as promotional. A better strategy is to maintain a public profile and rely on your thoughtful BrickTalk participation to induce other community members to find out more about you.
Media policy
We encourage members of the press to gather ideas and sources through BrickTalk and private email exchanges with our members. If you use any of this material, we respectfully request that you mention finding it through BrickUnderground.com.
