Winter is typically a slow season for the real estate market, and as a result, many asking rents across New York City are being reduced. From price cuts of $50 to $755 a month, here's a sampling of recently discounted units across four of NYC's boroughs--Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.

To find your own price-reduced apartments, go to StreetEasy, and click on More Search Options. Under "Description Includes" type in "Price reduced" and you'll see which apartments have recently seen their prices slashed.

Now might be as good a time as any to brush up on your renting IQ, so check out BrickUnderground’s helpful How to Rent Guide. If you're new to the Big Apple, get some extra support from our crash course on how to find an apartment in NYC.  And don't forget to ask about concessions--it's the middle of winter after all.
