Greenwich Village may be known for carriage houses and other charming historic properties, but this week's condo pick takes us way in the other direction. This four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath penthouse is hyper-modern, with bright, clean interiors, dramatic angles, and airy minimalism. Plus, it's enormous, spanning three floors and 5,700 square feet. Naturally, this will cost you plenty: the multi-story manse is listed for $20 million by Compass

A private elevator takes you to the 10th floor and into an expansive living room that includes a working fireplace; at the opposite side of the property is the dining room.

The entire area is suffused with light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, and there's also a large terrace at this level. The eat-in kitchen has a clean, modern look, and features a larger-than-usual island, custom cabinetry, and upscale, chef-friendly appliances.

Take the stairs to the second level, and you'll find an angled wall of windows creates a striking geometry and allows for far-reaching city views. The bedrooms on this floor also feature angled windows, a unique feature that will bring in plenty of natural light (but might be tricky to find curtains or blinds for.) The master bath is a deluxe sanctuary, with twin sinks, a walk-in shower, deep soaking tub, and perhaps most appealingly as the weather gets cooler, a sauna.

On the top level, you'll find another bedroom, office area, and additional terrace, the latter well equipped for entertaining.

Overall, the home seems big enough to get lost in; it also includes a laundry room with a washer and dryer, walk-in closets in three of the bedrooms, and en-suite baths in all four. Property amenities include 24-hour doorman service, a gym, private storage spaces, and garage parking.
