The Second Avenue subway is on the way—even though the MTA says it will take an "unprecedented" amount of work to get it open by December 31st—and once it arrives, this two-bedroom, two-bath rental will have quick access to the new stop at East 96th Street.

The apartment, a corner unit with oversized windows, also boasts gorgeous river views, loads of amenities, and brand-new everything, as the property was just built this year. Listed by Related Rentals for $6,775 per month, the unit seems priced in anticipation of the new transit; Yorkville is typically one of Manhattan's more affordable neighborhoods. (That said, we do realize it is on the Upper East Side, a long-established and not-altogether-cheap neighborhood.)

The sunny, eat-in kitchen is a highlight of the space, with plentiful storage, upscale appliances (including a wine fridge), and cozy nook by the window, which looks like the perfect spot to have your morning coffee. The spacious living area (see the main photo) offers views to the south and east, and a separate dining area leaves you plenty of room to entertain.

The master bedroom also comes with expansive views, an en-suite bath, and one of the more enticing walk-in closets we've seen, large enough to serve as a dressing room and with enough built-in shelving to appeal to serious fashionistas.

Based on the floorplan, the two bathrooms appear identical, and boast twin sinks, soaking tubs, and separate shower stalls. Amenities abound in this development, and include doorman and concierge service, a shared patio and roof deck, plus a gym, media room, and children's play room.
