More than 200 discounted apartments are coming up for rent in Midtown as part of the city's housing lottery.

At 42 West 33rd St., a new 36-story building half a block from the Empire State Building, applications are open for 45 apartments. The units are studios, one-, and two-bedrooms, starting at $867 a month. They are reserved for households making $31,600-$57,200.

The otherwise-luxury building includes 24-hour lobby staff, a pool, a gym, a lounge, meeting rooms, a golf simulator, a party room, a spa, laundry, a "dog wash," and a garden. The amenities are accessible only with additional fees.
