The building is about a block from the Dekalb Avenue L station.

Nooklyn

This Bushwick rental has potential for a group of (close) friends, or perhaps a duo looking for a little extra space. The three bedroom, one-and-a-half bath, listed for $3,000 by Nooklyn (with the broker fee waived), is about a block from the Dekalb Avenue L station, and about three blocks from the Knickerbocker Avenue M stop. The building is prewar, but the apartment looks modern, with new-looking hardwood floors and a kitchen and bathrooms that appear to have been recently renovated.

In the living area, illuminated by recessed lighting and a stylish fixture, you may need to get creative with the space to create room for dining and sitting areas. The open kitchen looks sleek, with its geometric backsplash, rustic cabinets, and glossy white countertop. (Bonus: It includes a dishwasher and a large fridge, definitely handy for roommates.)

Though the listing promises that all the rooms are big, the three bedrooms all appear to be pretty narrow, and the closets are particularly small. For good friends who plan to spend most of their time hanging out in the common areas (or out and about in Bushwick), it could work, though.

The full and half baths both have tile with striking geometric patterns, plus fixtures and finishes that look new. The apartment has central air, and there's laundry in the building. There's a shared deck on the roof. Pets are permitted.
