Applications have opened up for 16 newly renovated rentals in the Bronx, according to a new listing posted late last week on NYC Housing Connect. The apartments were updated by the Belmont Arthur Avenue Local Development Corporation, a long-running Bronx community group that works on affordable housing and community development.

There are a mix of studios, one-bedrooms, and three-bedrooms available, at price points geared toward renters making either 50 percent or 60 percent of area median income—you can see the full list of apartment sizes, prices, and availabilities below (click to enlarge):

The apartments are spread between two buildings at 565 East 178th Street (pictured above) and 2089-91 Arthur Avenue, and preference for half of the units will be given to current neighborhood residents, which in this case means residents of Bronx Community Board 6.

If you're interested and think you qualify, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by mailing a self-addressed envelope to ARTHUR CLINTON, LP, c/o Belmont Arthur Avenue LDC -660 East 183rd St. Bronx, NY 10458. (Don't apply more than once, or you could wind up disqualified.)

Applications are due by May 5th, so move quickly.
