Applications have just opened for 50 affordable rentals in the Bedford, a new development at 3160 Webster Avenue in the Norwood section of the Bronx, per a new listing posted on NYC Housing Connect. (The building seems to be part of a larger boom of affordable housing developments being built in the Bronx, as the New York Times reported last week.)

The apartments are a mix of sizes and prices, with options for renters at a variety of income levels—there are price ranges geared toward those earning 50 percent of Area Median Income, as well as options at 60 percent and 80 percent of AMI. You can see the full list of apartment sizes, prices, and income requirements below:

The building will include bike storage, a laundry room, and a roof deck, according to the listing, and as usual for this type of development, preference for half of the affordable rentals will be given to current area residents, which in this case means residents of Bronx Community Board 7.

If you're interested and think you may qualify, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by mailing a self-addressed envelope to: The Bedford, 87-14 116th Street, Richmond Hill, NY 11418. (Don't send in multiple applications, or you could wind up disqualified.) Applications are due by May 5th.
