5 Brooklyn two bedrooms renting for less than $2,500 a month
The average rent for a two bedroom in Brooklyn is a steep $3,363 a month, according to a recent Douglas Elliman report. But that doesn’t mean you’re doomed if your budget is significantly less. Here are five places across the borough that can be yours for under $2,500 a month.
4103 Seventh Ave., Sunset Park
This newly renovated two bedroom, one bath (also shown at top) is listed for $2,295 a month. The apartment has in-unit laundry, Sunset Park views, and three closets. Heat and hot water are included. It's in a four-story, 20-apartment building. There’s no broker’s fee and guarantors are permitted, but all pets must be approved before they can move in.
126 Malcolm X Blvd., Bedford-Stuyvesant

117 Diamond St., Greenpoint
This 850-square-foot apartment has two bedrooms on opposite ends of the apartment, a decorative fireplace in the living room, and windows in every room. It's in a pet-friendly building near McGolrick Park. Rent is $2,499 a month. Heat and hot water are included.
