This week readers visited Brick Underground to check out a Crown Heights housing lottery in a building with a gym, rooftop terrace, and bike storage. There are 160 apartments available starting at $465 a month for a studio. You can apply online via NYC Housing Connect until the September 19th deadline.

Also of interest: A Massachusetts native leaves a co-living situation with strangers in Central Harlem to live with friends in East Harlem. She's enjoying the amenities and pays just $750 a month.
