Macy's 2019 Thanksgiving Day parade. My family's tradition is to watch some of the parade on television and marvel at the crowd of people willing to stand outside for hours. What's yours?

Hello! Brick Underground’s staff is on vacation for the Thanksgiving holiday starting Wednesday, Nov. 27th and returning Monday, Dec. 2nd.

Some of us are traveling to far-flung states and others are staying close to home, with the exception of a trip to the NYC suburbs on the big day.

We hope wherever you land for the holiday, you find you have plenty to be thankful for. At Brick, we’re thankful for readers that keep us on our toes with questions that turn into story ideas, and to our sponsors and sources for helping us deliver useful information about all things related to NYC real estate.

Get ready for holiday tipping

Brick will get back to business on Monday publishing new content, including our annual Tipping Guide that will provide you with the guidance you may need to navigate this NYC holiday custom. It is the best way to show your appreciation for the staff members who care for your building.

And be sure to take our two-click tipping poll to share your tipping strategy. That makes you eligible to see what your fellow New Yorkers are planning to tip in their buildings.

With gratitude,
Jennifer White Karp
