If you’re ready to leave NYC for a place where you can get more space and access to nature, you should check out the historic town of Rhinebeck, New York. The Hudson River town has grand estates, parks and many eateries and stores along Montgomery and Market streets.

The median sales price in Rhinebeck is $577,500, according to Realtor.com. Here you’ll find a mix of house styles like Capes and Colonials, both old and new. You can find houses in Rhinebeck Village that are within walking distance to the town’s main hub. Houses further away are closer to nature and feel more secluded.

Established in the 17th century, Rhinebeck Village has many historic buildings and sites. At  Beekman Arms, the oldest continuously run inn in America, you can eat at The Tavern or book a stay. Other eateries in the area include Terrapin (located in a former church), Foster’s Coach House and The Amsterdam. For culture, there's the Museum of Rhinebeck History and The Center for Performing Arts. Rhinecliff, where you can catch an Amtrak train directly to the city, and Bard College are also nearby.
