Affordability and a quick commute to Manhattan make Weehawken, New Jersey a good option if you’re done with living in New York City but still want (or need) to be nearby. The area is also known for its stellar views of the city’s skyline.

Here you have access to the Lincoln Tunnel (it’s a straight shot to Midtown), New Jersey Transit, and ferry service. The locale also offers waterfront parks, a downtown area along Park Avenue—plus the perks of suburban living like well-rated public schools. And Hoboken is next door where you’ll find popular local restaurants plus chains like Trader Joe’s and ShopRite.
