This convertible four-bedroom, 3.5-bath duplex penthouse definitely looks like it would fulfill most New Yorkers' apartment wish lists. The loft gives you vast spaces for lounging, cooking, and entertaining; expansive river views thanks to a top floor location and multiple exposures; high-end finishes and fixtures; and plenty of adult and kid-friendly amenities. Naturally, the price reflects all this and the Tribeca zip code; the apartment is listed by Town Residential for $7.498 million

A private keyed elevator delivers you to the upper level of the apartment, where you'll find a spacious living room and sitting area, facing onto the roof deck. 14 foot ceilings contribute to the airiness of the space; in the kitchen, dark hardwood floors contrast nicely with gleaming metallic appliances and stylish pendant lighting. There's separate wine storage and a high-end, built-in coffeemaker here.

Head downstairs to find the bedrooms, laid out to maximize privacy. The master looks massive, with thoughtful design flourishes like exposed ceiling beams and arched windows. There are two large closets, plus another walk-in off the en suite bath. Across the hall is a den--likely this is what the listing refers to when it mentions that the unit is a convertible four-bedroom, but we think it looks better suited as a three. The two additional bedrooms both come equipped with their own roomy closets and en suites.

The bathroom pictured here looks like a sanctuary, with stone tile, double sinks, rain shower and separate soaking tub. And the roof deck will be a stunning spot once the weather warms up, boasting unobstructed water views. Plus, the building offers tenants 24-hour doorman and concierge service, a fitness center, and children's playroom, among other perks.
