The living room has been cut up a bit, but it's still relatively roomy.

Halstead

This two-bedroom, one bath condop at 4-74 48th Ave. offers 833 square-feet of living space on the bustling Long Island City waterfront. Listed for $580,000, the apartment offers 10-foot ceilings, views of the Manhattan and Queens skylines through oversized windows, and an upgraded kitchen. One of the bedrooms is small, owing to its past life as a dining room. It's now walled off from the living area, which is still fairly spacious. We don't get to see a photo of the bathroom, so it may not be in great shape.

The building has a hefty monthly common charge of $2226, but it offers a full-time doorman, laundry facilities, a gym, tennis courts, landscaped courtyards, bike storage, and a live-in super.

Pets are allowed, as are co-purchasing, guarantors, pieds-a-terre, and subletting.

The building is four blocks from the Vernon Boulevard-JacksonAvenue 7 train stop (which is one stop from Grand Central), and four blocks from the Long Island City East River ferry stop. Gantry Plaza State Park, which runs along the East River, is across the street.
