Finally: A truly usable kitchen

We've argued that Murray Hill is still a relatively affordable Manhattan neighborhood for family-sized apartments, and this listing at 135 East 39th Street proves it. (Note: We said relatively affordable). The prewar co-op has three-plus bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,800 square feet of space. And it's just under $2 million ($1.99 million to be exact).

Per StreetEasy, it looks as though the apartment was last sold eight years ago, which makes sense to us. This is the kind of place a family could really grow in.

In addition to its three main bedrooms, there's a study that could be a fourth bedroom or nursery. There's also a family room and a dining room. When was the last time you saw those words in a Manhattan apartment listing?

No storage issues here, either: The apartment has 10 double-door closets and two single-door closets, including walk-ins and California-style.

The chef's kitchen (which is what really sold us on this place) has a SubZero fridge, dishwasher, and wine cooler. It's also got a breakfast bar, under-cabinet lighting, and two pantries.

The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with granite walls and floors, a soaking tub and a rain shower. The second bathroom has a glass-enclosed shower.

An English-style garden—accessible to all residents—sits right outside, and many of the bedrooms have a view of it, which is actually one perk to being on the ground floor. The apartment is listed with Keller Williams.
