This Upper West Side prewar one-bedroom has a "You've Got Mail" vibe (for very good reason)
Last week, we ran a story about apartments in buildings featured prominently on TV. And for this week's Co-op Pick of the Week, we're keeping with the pop culture theme. This top-floor, one-bedroom apartment is in a building whose lobby was featured as Joe Fox's—Tom Hanks' character—in You've Got Mail (see photo below to jog your memory).
The 12-floor building, which is on 93rd Street and Riverside Drive, is a full-service co-op built in 1909. That marble lobby has stained glass, coffered ceilings and a manned front elevator with wrought-iron doors from 1910. It's also pet-friendly, has a part-time doorman, live-in super, bike room, central laundry room, and storage available.
The apartment itself—a one-bedroom for $725,000 being sold by Mdrn. Residential—has high ceilings, an open kitchen, renovated bathroom, and because it's on the top floor, streaming light, and both Hudson River and city views.
It's also just a couple of blocks from the 1, 2, and 3 trains.
