A 1,600-square-foot Manhattan apartment is rare enough, but one that's asking less than $1 million is practically a unicorn.

This $990,000 Classic 7 pre-war co-op in the coveted Harlem neighborhood of Hamilton Heights has nice "extras" like a separate dining room, a walk-in closet and an "entry hall," in addition to its three bedrooms and two baths. These are all aspects of an apartment that add to the general "flow."

For those who appreciate pre-war charm, in particular, the oak paneling in the master bedroom is a nice detail. There's also a decorative fireplace and hardwood floors.

The open kitchen has been totally renovated, though, with Jenn-Air and Bosch appliances, and a large island.

The apartment is located in an elevator building on Convent Avenue at 149th Street with a live-in super, bike storage, free extra storage, community room and an outdoor patio. Cats are allowed, but alas, dogs are not.
