Enjoy the unseasonably warm weather on this Harlem rental's dreamy terrace
We know it's wishful thinking to act like summer is just around the corner, but with the balmy temperatures of the past few days, we're already imagining ourselves wiling away the warmer months. Enter this Harlem two-bedroom, which comes with a peaceful private terrace with huge windows connecting it right to the living room. If you're feeling more social, the building has a shared residents' garden, as well:
The apartment is listed at $4,900/month with CORE—on the steep end for the neighborhood—but the building does come with lots of higher-end touches, including an attended lobby (that's doorman in developer speak), a fitness room, "media room", and cold storage for food deliveries. The apartment itself looks newly renovated (and crucially, has a washer and dryer), with up-to-date appliances in the bathroom as well as the small-ish open kitchen:
However, two caveats here: While the listing notes that the apartment is on a "high first floor," presumably meaning it's a bit elevated from street-level, it is still a first-floor apartment, which could be a turn-off for some renters. (However, it does seem to get much better natural light than your average ground floor setup.) The second is that in addition to the two bedrooms, the listing mentions a "home office than can be used as a third bedroom," which is code for a windowless extra room that can't legally be considered a bedroom. Handy if you need extra storage or an office, but not as great if you're going into this with hopes of using it as a real three-bedroom.
Still, we'd understand being sold on this apartment based solely on the strengths of that sweet little terrace...
