What you'll get across NYC for $2,800 a month

If you're apartment hunting this March on a budget of around $2,800 a month, you're likely to find mostly studios and one-bedrooms in Manhattan. But we've also uncovered some larger one- and two-bedrooms in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island.

UPPER EAST SIDE, MANHATTAN: 1-bed on a high floor with high beamed ceilings in a pre-war doorman co-op at 308 East 79th Street (between First and Second). $2,800/month

UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN: 1-bath studio with a home office and large windows in a pre-war doorman building at 175 West 76th Street (between Amsterdam and Columbus).  $2,850/month

MIDTOWN EAST, MANHATTAN: 2-bed, 1-bath with French doors and exposed brick walls in a five-story building that doesn't allow pets at 239 East 58th Street (between Second and Third). $2,800/month

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN: 1-bath studio with floor-to-ceiling windows and stainless steel appliances in a building with a gym and pool at 40 North 4th Street (between Kent and Wythe). $2,800/month

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN: 1-bed, 1.5-bath duplex with 500 square feet of outdoor space in a pet-friendly elevator building at 647 Washington Street (between Bergen and Saint Marks). $2,800/month

ASTORIA, QUEENS: 2-bed, 1-bath with large bedrooms and a separate dining nook on the ground floor of a three-family home at 30-59 32nd Street (between 30th and 31st). $2,800/month
