According to the website for the building Ocean, located at 1 West Street, the lobby (pictured) is reminiscent of a 14th-century Venetian palace, which may or may not be a check in your plus column. Less controversial are the apartments' high-end kitchens and marble bathrooms. The full-service building, with easy access to a number of subway lines, has an on-site valet, fitness center, parking, laundry on every floor, and a roof deck with lovely views.

Five units are currently being offered, studios and one-bedroom units ranging from $2,764 to $3,326. According to no-fee apartment search site UrbanEdgeNY.com, the landlord is offering one month free rent on selected units.
