Growing up, I got along with friends of different backgrounds. It was like a United Nations of snotty nosed children playing Whiffle ball and man-hunt. In a perfect world, that’s how all of life would be. But we all know this world is far from Eden and our lives are far from being perfect.

Drinking a glass of water one day, it suddenly dawns on a resident, “My kitchen is sooo outdated.” Many of the original tiles, flooring and fixtures are in place, including that mustard-colored 1970's refrigerator that gave the kitchen a retro feel back when the apartment was purchased. Not only does it leak from the bottom now, but it’s also one hell of an energy guzzler.

Gossiping, arguing, bad mouthing, pushing, shoving and fighting. It makes for a tantalizing new reality show or soap opera. And, it has nothing to do with the residents of a building. It’s the staff.
