Housing lottery applications are open for 135 rent-stabilized apartments at a new development in Hudson Yards. New Yorkers who earn $29,075 to $183,000 are eligible to apply, depending on the size of the household. Rents start at $848 for a studio.
The pet-friendly building at 451 10th Ave. has a gym, pool, elevators and in-unit washers, dryers, and dishwashers. It’s located near the 34th Street–Hudson Yards stop that serves the 7 train.
Developed by the Related Companies, the 44-story building holds 272 units, plus commercial and community facility space at its base. Handel Architects designed the glass and terracotta facade of the building between 35th and 36th streets, according to the firm.
The apartments are set aside for New Yorkers earning between 40 and 120 percent of the area median income (AMI)—a metric that depends on the number of people you live with. Currently the AMI for New York City is $113,000 for a two-person household. The apartments available include studios, one-, and two-bedroom apartments.
There are 53 studio apartments available for households earning from $29,075 to $39,560. The rent for these apartments is $848 per month.
Applications must be submitted online or postmarked no later than June 10th.
