This week, readers were interested in new protections for renters announced by Mayor Eric Adams. He plans to create a Tenant Protection Cabinet that would bring together more than 12 agencies and mayoral offices to help tenants who face landlord harassment and other issues.
Mayor Adams also announced that the New York City Housing Authority’s Section 8 voucher waiting list would reopen later this year for the first time in more than a decade.
