This week, readers were interested in a new housing lottery that opened in Brooklyn. Every Thursday, Brick features a different lottery with instructions on how to apply. Housing lottery apartments are typically in brand new rental buildings with multiple amenities. Lottery units are rent stabilized, so rent increases are capped and renewals are automatic—making it a big deal to land one of these.
