Want to live on a beach without commuting to Coney Island? Look no further than Crown Heights, Brooklyn, where a space-age apartment with a private, man-made backyard beach was just listed on StreetEasy for $4,000 a month. Yes, you read that right.

The private pool, with beach chairs and backyard-turned-patch-of-sand aren’t the only perks at this 1,800-square-foot unit, which is on the garden level of a duplex at 1432 Saint Marks Ave. The full-floor, one-bedroom, one-bath apartment also has a sauna.

The interiors feature white walls with neon orange highlights. Think “2001: A Space Odyssey” meets “Point Break.”

The apartment is owned by a New York artist and available for a Sept. 1st move-in. Utilities and a weekly cleaning service included in the rent, according to the listing.
But no beach-loving alien’s dream is perfect. You cannot bring “any furniture of your own” into the apartment, according to the listing.
“No pets, no drama,” reads the StreetEasy listing. “You must be clean, responsible, and organized. This is a unique opportunity to live in a carefully curated sanctuary, please be mindful of the expectations that have been set before you reach out.”
If you can get over the rules—and the decor choices—there’s more to enjoy: The apartment also has a movie projector, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and “custom-made artist-designed furniture,” according to the listing. It’s available for a six-month or one-year lease.

The property’s agent, Juan Dela Cruz of Highline Residential, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
