A housing lottery opens for 120 apartments at The Brooklyn Tower

Housing lottery applications are open for 120 newly constructed apartments at The Brooklyn Tower at 55 Fleet St. Applicants must earn $90,172 to $215,150 to be eligible, depending on the size of the household. Rents start at $2,630 for a studio.
The lottery gives New Yorkers a chance to live in a rent-stabilized apartment in a luxury building. The available apartments include 57 studios, 44 one-bedroom apartments, 18 two bedrooms and a single three bedroom.
All applicants for these apartments need to be earning 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). AMI depends on how many people you live with. Currently the AMI for New York City is $106,800 for a two-person household.
The pet-friendly building is stacked with amenities including a media room, kids’ playroom, outdoor space, and a pool.
All apartments have washer dryers, dishwashers, and high-end kitchen appliances. Tenants are responsible for paying electricity bills, including forced air heating. Rent includes gas for stoves and hot water.
The location is just off Flatbush Avenue, in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn. The area is well served by buses and the nearest subway station is DeKalb Ave. for the B, N, R, D, Q, and W trains. You can get the 2 and 3 trains at Hoyt St. a few blocks away.
Applications must be submitted online or postmarked no later than May 30th.
