A housing lottery opens for 24 apartments near Yankee Stadium in the Bronx
NYC Housing Connect
Applications are open for 24 newly constructed apartments at 310 Grand Concourse through the affordable housing lottery for applicants with incomes ranging from $56,983 to $115,280.
The rent-stabilized apartments are studios, one, and two bedrooms set aside for people earning 80 percent of the area median income for households of one to five people. (The area median income for a two-person household in New York City is $106,800.) Rents start at $1,576 for a studio.
There are 13 two-bedroom apartments available for tenants with incomes of $73,098 to 115,280. The rent for these apartments is $2,002.
The Grand Concourse neighborhood is known for its elegant Tudor, Beaux Arts, and Art Deco-style apartment complexes. Yankee Stadium is nearby and as are several parks. The building is close to 138 St-Grand Concourse subway station, where you can catch the 4, 5, and 6 trains.
The building is pet friendly and has bike storage lockers and electric car charging stations. Apartments have energy-efficient appliances. The developers have set aside 50 percent of the affordable apartments for those who live in the community. There is also a 5 percent preference for NYC employees.
Applications must be submitted online or postmarked no later than August 24th.
