Cold Spring, a Hudson River town just one hour north of Manhattan, would appeal to a wide variety of buyers—including art and nature fans. It has a quaint Main Street with stores and restaurants; access to nature and hiking trails; mountain and river views; and is close to popular Hudson Valley art destinations like Dia Beacon and Storm King Art Center.

You’ll find eateries like Foundry Cafe, Le Bouchon, and Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill; antique stores like Cold Spring Antique Center; stores like Split Rock Books, Cold Spring Candy Company, and Old Souls; and art galleries like Buster Levi Gallery and Marina Fine Art & Restoration. If hiking is your thing, you can head to Breakneck Ridge Trail, Hudson Highlands State Park, and West Point Foundry Preserve.

When it comes to real estate, the area’s median sales price is $535,000, according to Redfin. There are houses on the market within walking distance of Main Street and farther out if you prefer more privacy and want to be surrounded by nature. There are smaller cabins on the market if you’re looking for a second house to escape the city life on the weekends and larger, traditional houses including Colonials if you’re looking for something roomier.

So, if Cold Spring sounds like a fit for you, here are five houses for sale in the area including a three bedroom in a national historic district with access to a private lake and a four-bedroom Colonial with a deck, patio, and garden.
