Huge windows, high ceilings, and white walls make this 757-square-foot Long Island City studio, 2-17 51st Ave., #505, seem bigger than it actually is. Unlike a lot of studios, this condo also has a separate area that can be used as a home office or sleeping alcove. It also has a washer and dryer in the apartment. But at $835,000, the asking price is pretty steep—much more than the $640,000 median for a studio in LIC, according to StreetEasy.
The living space as it is configured now has room for a large TV area with a couch, a chair, and a coffee table, as well as a small circular dining table. The hardwood floors look new-ish, although this pattern—which mixes dark and light colors—definitely won’t be to everyone’s taste.

Amenities include a doorman, concierge services, live-in super, fitness center, spa with a whirlpool, sauna, steam and massage rooms, party room, game room, full-service garage, business center, lounge, screening room, bike storage, and rooftop deck with city views, BBQ grills, and picnic tables. Common charges are $571 a month. Taxes are $28 a month, thanks to a 421-a tax abatement that expires in 2024.
It’s near the 12-acre Gantry Plaza State Park, which has playgrounds, playing fields, a dog park, and occasional outdoor concerts.
It’s also close to a host of transportation options, including the 7 train at Vernon Blvd./Jackson Ave. and the G at 21st Street.
