If you’re looking for a large apartment, plenty of bathrooms, multiple outdoor spaces, and a heated private parking space, you’re in luck. This penthouse condo at 12-14 31st Ave. in Astoria, Queens, has all that, and more.

And considering that condos in general and penthouses in particular usually sell for way above the average price per square foot, this two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath apartment is arguably competitively priced at $1,238,000 for 1,386 square feet. For those without calculators, that comes to $893 per square foot—just $37 above Trulia’s Astoria sales average of $856 per square foot.

The first level includes the kitchen, an open living and dining room, a sizable entry foyer (with a custom mahogany, glass, and steel staircase), a half bath, and a closet. The living room area has a Carrera marble gas fireplace. There also is a small terrace included in the floor plan, but it looks to be not much larger than a Juliet balcony.

The kitchen, with a dining counter, received a recent upgrade that feature stainless steel appliances including a Miele dishwasher, Samsung refrigerator, Jenn-Aire gas range. There's also a Samsung stackable washer/dryer.

The bathroom connected to the larger bedroom has a shower. The second bathroom has a soaking tub.

The apartment comes with a private heated garage that also has a 16-foot ceiling and loft storage. The 12-unit building was completed in 2004. Common charges are $940 a month; taxes are $100 a month. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis.

The Socrates Sculpture Park is two blocks away. The condo is a half mile from the Astoria ferry landing, with stops in Midtown and Wall Street. What might be a downside for some is the distance from the subway: The nearest trains are the N and W at Broadway, which is three quarters of a mile away.
