Apply to rent a Midtown apartment for as little as $580 a month
Applications are open for 18 apartments in a new building in Midtown through the city housing lottery.
The apartments are studios and one bedrooms, set aside for people in three income brackets: single people making $19,886-$29,240 a year, one- and two-person households making $34,354-$50,100 a year, and one- and two-person households making $79,783-$108,550 a year. Rents start at $580 a month, for a studio available to someone in the lowest bracket.

The building is 21 stories, with the remaining apartments renting for market rates. It has a gym, bike storage, a lounge, regular storage, a patio, and a roof deck, all available for additional fees.
The building is between 32nd and 31st streets, two blocks from the 6 at 33rd Street, and five blocks from Herald Square.
