This Greenwich Village studio comes with a terrace bigger than the apartment itself
With a private 500-square-foot private terrace that's bigger than the 400-square-foot Greenwich Village studio it’s attached to, this apartment, #1A, at 100 West 12th St., definitely stands out. There’s also a large dining space, a dressing area, and a walk-in closet. It’s listed for $650,000.

The living space is bright and airy with high, beamed ceilings, and oversized windows that look out over the patio. There are dark-stained hardwood floors and shelves throughout. The room isn’t huge, though.

As it’s currently staged, it looks like there’s sufficient room for a small TV area with a love seat and a coffee table by the window, as well as a sleeping area big enough for a good-sized bed.

The windowed kitchen looks contemporary and clean with stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher!), custom dark-wood cabinetry, and granite countertops. The shelves up top give the space an openness not often found in tiny Manhattan kitchens.

The white marble bathroom is also pretty sweet, offering a soaking tub, a window, and large-scale gray tiles with white veining on the floor. The pedestal sink is pretty, but means that there isn’t much in the way of storage space in here. A new owner will probably want to add shelving above the toilet to hold extra rolls of toilet paper and the like.

The apartment is in the Mark Twain, a pet-friendly co-op building with an elevator, a part-time doorman, a live-in super, a laundry room, and basement storage. Gifting and co-purchases are considered on a case-by-case basis, but pieds-à-terre are not allowed. Maintenance is $1,683 a month.
