Escape from New York to this ski cabin in Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Who says your winter escape has to be one of tropical indolence? Winter may be borderline torture in New York, but the key to enjoying The Dark Months is to get your tuchis outside and get moving.
Case in point: Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a skiing destination surrounded on all sides by Yellowstone National Park. The valley is home to three sprawling ski resorts, and the bracing winter air may not seem so fearsome if you grab, say, 10 of your closest friends and head to this gorgeous four-bedroom cabin rental, surrounded by trees and equipped with a grand fireplace.
Located right next to the Jackson Hole Mountain ski resort, this two-story cabin makes the perfect base camp to retreat to when the fresh pow gets the better of you.
The place clocks in at about $1,500 per night during the prime skiing months, but if you hit the maximum number of 11 guests and evenly split costs, the price might not be so painful.
The house has an open floor plan in the common areas.
The kitchen is decked out in dark wood cabinets and granite countertops.
There's a back deck for checking out the stars you forgot existed.
Hitting the slopes takes it out of you! Soak your weary muscles in the hot tub.
There are four and a half bathrooms, and the bedrooms include one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, a room with a queen and a twin, and one room with a twin and a bunk bed (for your unemployed friends who can’t pay as much but whom you can’t bear to leave at home).
The shower pictured looks spacious, and the tub deep.
