Lots of windows give this newly renovated studio at 430 E. 56th St. in Midtown East a lot of light. The apartment is listed for $470,000.

The apartment is staged with a small two-seater table pushed to the side. However, there’s definitely room for a larger table should the new owner want one.

There are polished wide-plank hardwood floors, high ceilings that make the room feel larger, and, as it’s currently configured, room for a seating area with a couch, a chair, and a coffee table.

The sleeping area is separated from the living room proper by a short bookshelf. A larger, more expansive bookcase or an opaque screen might do more to make this feel like a real bedroom. But both of those options would also block the light coming in from the windows. The bed is also right on top of both the heater and air conditioner. Some folks may hate that, but there really isn’t much that can be done, short of relocating the bed.

A separate kitchen is a rare luxury in a studio apartment. And this apartment has a dishwasher—another uncommon find in a studio. The airy, windowed room has ample cabinets, translating into tons of storage space for dishes, cookware, kitchen gadgets, and more. There’s also a decent amount of counter space, especially for a place of this size, plus stainless steel appliances and a tiled backsplash. The room is very white, so keeping things clean could be tough.

The bathroom isn't huge, judging by the photo. There’s a small white vanity with a couple of drawers and a modern-looking light fixture.

The apartment is in Sutton Manor, a co-op building with a roof deck, a garden, a courtyard, a full-time doorman, on-site laundry, a bike room, and storage. The pet-friendly elevator building allows pieds-à-terre and subletting, and requires a hefty 40-percent down payment. Maintenance is $1,196 a month.
