This three-bedroom rental in Harlem is sun-drenched and close to parks
This three-bedroom, two-bath rental is in Harlem's Gateway Tower, originally built in 1900 and converted to a luxury condominium in 2004. Listed by Douglas Elliman for $4,100 per month, it's what passes for moderately priced in the neighborhood these days, judging by a StreetEasy search.
The building includes a number of appealing amenities and is a short walk from both Morningside Park and Central Park, as well as the C, B, 2, and 3 trains.
The apartment seems to be on a high floor. That, plus the large windows mean the west-facing, open-plan living area should get plenty of natural light. The kitchen features a subway tile backsplash, new-looking countertops and cabinetry, and a built-in wine fridge.
The master bedroom also looks well-lit. Its en suite bath appears to be fairly standard, though it includes a Jacuzzi tub. The other two bedrooms, not pictured in the listing, sit at the opposite end of the apartment and share the second bathroom.
The floor plan reveals that there's an entry foyer with additional closet space, and according to the listing there's an in-unit washer and dryer. The building has a full-time doorman and a live-in super, a gym, a roof deck, and a landscaped courtyard.
It's not entirely clear from the listing, but glass doors in the living room and master bedroom seem to open onto a balcony that was never built, or an extremely narrow one, so some fall prevention measures may be in order, particularly if you have kids.
