Here's your slice of brownstone Brooklyn: A duplex two-bedroom, two-bath rental at the border between Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy that's been recently renovated, but not at the sake of its charm. The interiors are far from cookie-cutter, and the home is capped off with a sunny roof deck where you can lounge and barbecue. Listed by Stribling for $5,500 per month, the apartment's price is higher than the neighborhood average--classic Brooklyn style isn't cheap after all.

On the first floor, the sunny living room features large windows, ample space for storage, and a stylish working fireplace. Past one of the bathrooms and the stairway you'll find the eat-in kitchen, with a classic subway tile backsplash and what looks like new, stainless steel appliances. (We're assuming the wallpaper can go, but it does add a splash of personality to the space.)

On the second floor, the master bedroom is done up with a soothing gray wallpaper and comes with an entire wall of built-in storage; note that it does share a bathroom with the second bedroom. You'll also find a laundry room with an in-unit washer and dryer on this level.

The private roof deck has several options for seating and lounging, plus a gas grill. The apartment also comes with central air conditioning and additional storage in the basement.
