Consider it an antidote to the cramped, lightless studios you'll sometimes see being peddled in Manhattan: This $480,000 co-op studio on West 72nd Street has windows throughout that pour in natural light, as well as shelves near the ceiling that make the main living feel larger than it is.

It's a two-room studio (meaning you may want to consider something like a Murphy bed to free up floor space), and the narrow, but well-lit, kitchen manages to make room for extra counterspace and seating.

The listing notes that this unit is located on a high floor in an elevator building, which also has a bike room, and allows pets. Co-purchases, guarantors, and pied-a-terres are allowed as well, meaning this building has more flexible policies than the typical co-op.

Though you'll want to investigate in person, as always, we'd say this looks to be a fairly ideal fit, whether you're looking for a starter apartment for one, or simply a convenient place near Lincoln Center to crash when you happen to be in the city.
