Apply now for rentals in Sutton Place for as low as $1,254/month
Applications have opened for 20 new rentals in Sutton Place on Manhattan's far east side, according to a new listing posted on NYC Housing Connect. The building is located on East 60th Street near the entrance to the Queensboro Bridge, and includes a mix of one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms for renters earning between $44,949 and $72,480, depending on household and family size.
You can see the full list of apartment sizes, prices, and income requirements below (click to enlarge):
The building itself has an elevator, coin-operated on-site laundry, and for extra fees, on-site parking. There are no pictures currently available (though you can see a Google Street view snap of it under construction, below), and YIMBY has more photos of the complex under construction circa August 2016.
As usual for this type of development, preference for half of the affordable apartments will be given to current area residents, which in this case means residents of Manhattan's Community Board 8. If you're interested and think you qualify, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by mailing a self-addressed envelope to 321 E.60th St., c/o Housing Partnership Development Corporation, 242 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10018. (Don't apply more than once, or you could be disqualified altogether.)
Applications are due by June 16th.
