Though it's as well-established as any other major Manhattan neighborhood, the Lower East Side still flies a little under the radar for trend-seeking buyers, who may be aware of its vibrant nightlife but ignore its comparatively affordable prices—at least when juxtaposed against other downtown enclaves. If you're on the apartment hunt, this weekend's open houses will school you on the LES' many options.
