Battery Park City has always felt a bit separate from the rest of NYC, a small town oasis at the lower tip of Manhattan. This rental is also unusual, in that it comes with the kind of amenities that are hard to find even in upscale condos. Located in the Visionaire, a new-ish luxury property, the one-bedroom has a condominium feel, thanks to its luxe fixtures and finishes. Listed by Compass for $4,850 per month, the unit's high price may partly be attributable to those enticing perks, which include a roof deck with Hudson River views and an indoor pool.

The open living room's high ceilings and wall of windows render the space airy and bright; adding to the thoughtfulness of the interior design are the sustainably harvested bamboo floors. The kitchen, outfitted with custom bamboo cabinets, black granite countertops, and a stylish tile backsplash, looks a little petite, but its top-of-the-line appliances are very chef-friendly.

The bedroom includes double closets for storage, and the bathroom looks impressive. The sleek, well-lit space has a walk-in shower and separate soaking tub, plus appealing tile work.

The building's indoor lap pool and roof deck—where you can grill, sunbathe, and catch views of the Statue of Liberty—are its standout amenities, but it also offers full-time doorman service and a gym, which all makes for your own mini-oasis within Battery Park City.
