Rent in a brand-new Hudson Yards building for as little as $913/month

As development around Hudson Yards continues at a rapid clip, here's your chance to get in on the action at a low price: the affordable housing lottery has just opened for 120 new rentals at 555 10th Avenue, per a new listing on NYC Housing Connect.

The building is a huge new mixed-use tower in Hudson Yards at 41st and 10th, and will include 600 rental apartments (that number includes the 120 affordable options), as well as 300 dorm units that will be rented out to students, as the Commercial Observer reported in 2014.

There are loads of amenities on-site, including a "24-hour gym, indoor pool, outdoor rooftop pool, dog run, outdoor landscaped areas, club room, bowling alley, game lounge, children’s lounge, dog care services and tenant storage," according to the listing on Housing Connect. Additional fees will apply for some of these (though it's not entirely clear which ones), and according to the Commercial Observer, dorm residents won't have access to these extras.

As for the apartments themselves, there are a mix of studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and three-bedrooms ranging from $913/month to $1,315/month for renters with annual household incomes between $32,640 and $63,060, depending on apartment and family size. As usual with this kind of development, preference for half of the apartments will be given to current neighborhood residents, in this case, Manhattan's CB4.
