Apply now for apartments as cheap as $532/month in Williamsburg
If you're on the hunt for affordable rentals, you might be in luck: Applications just opened up yesterday for 30 affordable, new construction apartments spread across three South Williamsburg buildings: 37 Ten Eyck Street, 37 Maujer Street, and 356 Bedford Avenue. According to the listing on NYC Housing Connect, prices for qualified renters start as low as $532/month for a one-bedroom.

Buildings will include elevators, intercoms, bike storage, and the rather vaguely stated amenity of "indoor and outdoor areas," per the listing, and as Brownstoner reported in 2014, are being built by a nonprofit affordable housing developer. The buildings, which have been in the works since 2010, were all purchased from the city as vacant lots and are slated to be entirely affordable, though the Bedford Ave building will also have ground-floor retail as well as space for a medical clinic, per the initial building permits. As is standard with this type of affordable housing, priority for half of the apartments will be given to locals, in this case current residents of Brooklyn's Community Board 1, which encompasses parts of Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
