If you're looking to spend less than $2,000 (okay, okay $5 less, but still...) to live in a studio with stainless appliances and central air, we suggest you check out this $1,995 studio in Forest Hills' Milana condo building, just off Queens Boulevard.

According to the listing, the apartment's also got a washer and dryer hook-up (we're thinking it would have to go in a closet, right?), as well as a dishwasher, and some seriously generous cabinet space for a studio.

And while the view isn't exactly Central Park-style, we appreciate any outdoor space that allows us to have coffee or wine al fresco, and this 60-foot patio should do the trick.

This alcove could fit a (small) bed, but we think we'd make it into a mini-office.

Extra points for the dining area tucked in next to the kitchen.

And the transportation is about as good as it gets  in the neighborhood—about a block away from the E, F, M and R trains. There's also a gym right nearby (New York Sports Club, which you can spot from the balcony), as well as shops and restaurants within close walking distance.
