How to apply for luxury Hell's Kitchen rentals as cheap as $833/month

More affordable housing options this week in Hell's Kitchen, but this time, the project's offering plenty of units (as opposed to some Brooklyn buildings offering up just one or two apartments apiece). The building at 535 West 43rd Street—a 300-unit, block-through luxury rental building being developed by DHA Capital—is taking applications now.

Per a listing on NYC Housing Connect, there are studios available for $833/month and $1,126/month; one-bedrooms available for $895/month and $1,208/month; and two bedrooms for $1,082 and $1,458/month, available for applicants with household incomes ranging from $29,932 to $69,050, depending on apartment and family size. Each apartment has a washer and dryer, and the building itself includes a 24-hour doorman and common courtyard, and, for extra fees, a fitness center, game room, rooftop garden, bike storage, and screening room.

You can apply online by making a profile and submitting an application via NYC Housing Connect, or by sending a self-addressed envelope or postcard to 535W43 c/o Common Ground, PO Box 3620937 New York, NY 10129 requesting an application. (Note: if you submit more than one application, you could wind up being disqualified.) Applications are due by November 10th.
