StreetEasy’s Most Wanted: On the UWS, have it all -- or just the walls
The Upper West Side takes center stage with all different types of apartments (from barebones to fully furnished) in this roundup of StreetEasy’s Most Wanted -- the 10 sales listings StreetEasy surfers saved more often than any others this week.
You can have everything you see (except a few pieces of the current owner’s artwork) in a $1.05m two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath prewar condo at the iconic Ansonia on Broadway between 73rd and 74th Streets (the very same building that starred in supernatural real-estate horror drama "666 Park Ave"). The price includes dishes, pots, pans, silverware, placemats, sheets, bedding, towels and more. The second bedroom features floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. It currently houses tenants who signed a two-year agreement.
Over on Riverside Drive between 89th and 90th Streets, a bright two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath prewar in a full-service co-op, listed at $1.35, doesn’t come fully furnished, but it has a formal dining room that can be converted into a second bedroom. It’s in estate condition, but has been refreshed with new lighting fixtures and a paint job. The kitchen is already gutted and, obviously, needs to be redone, and you might consider turning the staff room into a dining room while you’re at it.
A $450k two-bedroom, one-bath co-op also comes barebones with a ton of windows, including some in both the kitchen and bathroom. Located on West 76th between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, the prewar, extremely estate condition apartment needs a lot of work, but at this price you may not mind a bit. True to the rules of a co-op, both pets and washer/dryers require approval. Maintenance is $2,010 with a $275 assessment included for capital improvements to the building.
Over on Central Park West (between West 83rd and West 82nd Streets) a new-to-market $969k two-bedroom, three-bathroom co-op is a combination of three legally converted studios. There are two entrances and two kitchens, though the no-picture listing notes that the apartment has “great potential,” which may mean that it needs some TLC.
