No-Fee Apartment of the Week: $1,850 one-bedroom in Yorkville

Lately our no-fee weekly spotlights have been trending on the more expensive side (hovering somewhere in the $3k-$4k range), so this week we've gone the less-expensive route -- with an $1,850 one-bedroom in Yorkville.

Pros: The under-$2,000 rent is hard to beat, especially in a non-studio apartment. There's laundry in the building, and it's only a short walk from beautiful Carl Shurz Park, and the East Side promenade.

Cons: Just off York Avenue, the building is a long walk from the nearest subway, and the space looks small. Check out that tiny kitchen on the left. Also, the building is a walk-up, and the listing is portentously vague as to the floor the apartment is on.

No-Fee Apartment of the Week showcases an apartment that’s currently on the market and is being offered with no broker fee (otherwise known as the holy grail of New York City rentals).
